I've been wanting to post some poems on here for a while now and just never got to it. But finally! I have the time and attention span! I wrote this poem last year and I'm really proud of it. Comment and tell me what you think!
What Do You See?
What do you see
When you look at me?
Do you see a pretty girl
With hazel eyes?
Or a fragile girl
With an empty heart?
What do you see
When you look at me?
Do you see a happy girl
With lots of friends?
Or a sad, lonely girl
With only herself?
What do you see
When you look at me?
Do you see a silly girl
Who's madly in love?
Or an angry girl,
Too afraid her heart will break?
I'm not what I appear
I may not even be here
Just a part of your imagination
To test your sympathy and compassion
So, what do you see
When you look at me?
