What shall I write in this dusty old book I've found? Perhaps I shall write about my day. Yes, that will do.
I am currently a cook at the Darkseas Harbor Inn and Tavern, and I haven't actually gone to work for a while now. I really should, but I've been too curious about these "magical" hats a woman named Jade sells.
I've been there...three times now? But I don't see these hats too much, and I do so want to see how they are magical. Jade has let some things slip, but I will not commit that to writing until I am sure of the facts. I think I shall try to acquire my own hat in order to further my study...
I do believe I shall retire now and resign you to my desk drawer, dear journal.
