my mask is falling
slipping away
leaving me vulnerable
leaving me alone
letting the darkness
slowly slip in
letting it take over
the colors fade to dark
sitting and staring at
a colorless world fumbling
with something shiny and sharp
bringing my hand back as it cuts me
starring wide eyed at the only color
visible
red
shacking with shock
red
pure innocent lovely
the only color more and
deeper everywhere
letting the darkness fill
my vision letting
it comfort me capture me
the only color
