I fell asleep listening to and older CD of Evanescence the other night. Her songs drained out the stress and tension that I had carried upon my shoulders for a while now.
I closed my eyes, listening to a few of my favorite songs and skipping the ones I didn't like as much. I thought about several things, like a chain of thoughts, one leading directly to another.
Suddenly, I stopped - altogether I stopped thinking and listened.
I turned the volume up as the droning music blared in my ears.
It was...soothing
Like a lullaby almost...lulling me to sleep in her final song "Whisper"
