Ugh, I'm getting totally annoyed.
Stop using my name constantly!!! I know my own damn name. Really...who else would you be talking to on the damn phone/IM?
Really...I'm annoyed with that. Only use my name if it's something serious and you want my attention. Not constantly.
For example, this is a no-no.
Username1: Paula!
Username1: Paula!
Username1: Paula!
If I didn't answer you the first time than I probably won't because I'm doing something else, so please wait. So you can imagine my surprise when I come back to the computer and find it filled with my name.
Another no-no is this.
Username1: Hey, Paula
Username2: Hey
Username1: So, Paula what cha doing?
Username2: Nothing
Username1: Paula?
Username2: hm?
Username1: idk, I forgot
After a while of this....my name has been used over 5 times or more. I guess this is a pet peeve of mine. I can understand one or twice but in every IM? That's annoying and even more so if I'm already hearing my name used more than once, daily at home. So yeah, lay off with my name. There are other ways to call me/get my attention without using my name.
Example:
Username1: Hey, are you there?
or
Username1: hey?
or
Username1: hi?
