Speaking of 'oh my gods', isn't it amazing what religion can do for a fellow? My Satan hasn't let me down, and the only time he has, it's been because I've let HIM down. It's like this special George Carlin had in the past, "I worship the sun god, I pray to Joe Pesci, because Joe Pesci awnsers my prayers about half the time, just like God did" or summat. If you're putting your prayers somewhere, put them somewhere you know they can be taken care of.
People don't believe in "God", so their faith leaves them crippled. If you're not going to believe in who you pray to, why bother? I don't believe in my mom's god, the way I was raised, as I have no faith in him. My ma's just so damaged, praying to a god who doesn't care about what 'he's done to her' that I have no respect for him, like I have no respect for doctors, SO, I'm a massage therapist, and a Satanist. Satan is a concept I can understand, a Diety I can respect and follow. "Eat, drink and be merry, for tomarrow, you may be dead." Just enjoy the life you have while you have it. And, as such a commandment as that, it's easy to justify everything. I prayed to Satan to let me catch my bus, I was about 7 minutes late, which means a lot, as I have 15 to make it to my stop. I must have been HASTEd, as I made it there with time to spare, had to wait 4 minutes for my bus. Leaving school, I was 7 minutes late (... FOMG! WHAT THE ******** WITH SEVEN MINTUES?!), I missed the 51 and couldn't walk to my stop in time, which blew, as I had a good dinner at home waiting for me. So, I prayed to Satan to get me to my stop in time, and some bird popped up in her minivan and gave me a lift.
I didn't want to be late to school, not because I give a ******** about school, but because my life would loose some of it's enjoyment if I had to make up half an hour for being half an hour late. My life would have lost some enjoyment if I had got home in time to eat cold chicken and colder gravy. Very bad, it would have been, so my faith got me where I had to be, for my life to continue to be enjoyable.
Just gotta find something you believe in in order to believe.
And I'm still on cloud nine... heart
