Nurse: "So, how have you been feeling?"
Me: "Fine I guess... Nothings wrong with me in other words..."
"Well that's good, so let's do your mesurments..."
Height- 5'11", grew a smidge
Weight- 142 lbs, lost 2 1/2 pounds
Blood Pressure- 94/48
"So please wait for the Doctor to come in..."
*waits for 25 minutes*
Doctor Lady: *knock knock* "Sorry Im late... We'll have you Dad come in so we can all talk about your medical condition..."
*Oh, joy.*
((for those of you who don't know my father, he is thorough very thorough when asking questions, especially when has to do with me...))
Father; "I have a question about shots and the swine flu vaccine..." :
((this goes on for some time, and I start to feel anxious and sweaty for some reason.))
I couldn't be scared of shots could I? I'd had them before...
*my vision starts to fade and my face feels warm.*
"So go ahead and go to the bathroom, and we'll give you the vaccinations."
* my father leaves and I stand up, only being able to see half of what I normally could.*
Nurse: "Its over this way, dear."
*by now everything is black* "I can't see anything. Its all blacked out."
"Come over this way and sit down" *she grabs my hand and sets my in a chair.*
Doctor: *hands me a cup of soda and animal crackers and i nibble on my early morning snack* "You have a low blood pressure, which is a good thing, but fainting is a side effect of it. Did you skip breakfast today?"
"Yeah, but I don't do it often. I started to black out when we talked about the shots..."
"Ah, I see. Were you nervous about it?"
"I guess so."
"Hm, well, let me go talk to the nurse and your dad..."
* she leaves and I hear mumbles of words like fainting, hypo glycemic, ect...*
Nurse: "Are you alright?"
"Yeah, I can see again..."
"Good. Now just relax as I get the shots."
((Nothing special. Im just bored and didn't really have anything else to talk about. I nearly fainted, thats all. And here's another part I was going to tell you all about, when the doctor was asking me questions, before I blacked out...))
"So, your going into 10th grade, correct?"
"Yeah"
"Are you involved in any clubs or sports?"
"No, not really..."
"Maybe if you joined some clubs of your interests, you could find a groups of people with the same interests as you..."
I suddenly understood she was pinning me as a friendless freak.
"Do you have a group of friends?"
This question simply knocked my off guard even though I should have expected it.
"Yes." I said in a harder tone, my being annoyed showing more.
"And remember, if you ever feel axious or depressed, come talk to us cause we can help."
At that, I wanted to scream at her. You are a doctor, not a counselor. Stay within your boundaries! So apparently, to her I was a depressed friendless freak.
I only nodded.
"Do you get good grades?"
"Yes. High honors." I said, desperet to prove to her I wasn't was she thought of me.
She smiled. "Well thats good." Like it was the only positive thing in my life.
I hope you believe me when I say I really wanted to punch her in the face.
There were other things, but I don't feel like writing it. It seemed like she read a script given to her by my Father. I glared at him when he came in earlier.
And this was all this morning. ಠ_ಠ
Can you see why I hate going to the Doctors?
