Chapter 2
"Todays the day we go to say bye to Mai..." Miyoko said to herself. Miyoko grabbed Mais ring she had left and walked into the kitchen. Everyone was in the kitchen clearing up breakfast. Yuki was playing with the ribbons on her bunny hairpins while Sora came into the kitchen. "Miyoko, what time does Mai's flight leave?" he asked. "Uhm...around 11:00am." she replied. "He was acting as if nothing happened." "Were her feelings waisted?" When they all got to the airport, Mai was waiting at the plane gate. "Mai!" Miyoko yelled. "Miyoko!" Mai yelled back. The two girls ran up and hugged each other. "We still have about an hour, wanna walk around the airport and look around?" Mai asked. "Of course." Miyoko said. Then went in all the shops they could possible find and everyone got a souvenir. Lastly, they went to the restaurant. "The spa was a kind of a going away present, since im going away." "I just wanted all of you to remeber me." "And my flight leaves in 15 minutes, so we should get going." Mai told them. When they got to the gate Mai turned to all of them. "Rei, I havent known you for long, but you seem pretty cool, and we have to hang out when I get back." "Rei smiled, "Sure thing." "Yuki, you're adorable, and I need to take fashion tips from you one day, and im gonna miss you." "Im gonna miss you too Mai-chan su!" Yuki said crying. "Akihiko I havent known you for long either, but you're really cute. And for some reason i'm gonna miss you too." "I'll miss you Mai, for everyday I will think of your bright shimmering face." he said holding her chin. "Hehe." "I'll miss you also Kei-chan, because you're a really sweet person." "Thank you Mai-chan, I'll miss you too." Kei said bowing. "Usagi, I'll never forget you either. All the memories we shared at school.." "I'll miss you too Mai." Usagi said giving Mai a hug and wiping tears from her cheeks. "Icha, you adorable little girl. I will always think of you as my godchild." blaugh "I'll never forget you either Mai-sama!" Icha said hugging her. "Sora." Mai said. "I'll never forget your beautiful face. But your Miyoko's and I respect that." She gave him a hug. "She really likes you, so dont screw it up." she whispered into his ear." Then she let go. "Miyoko!" Mai said hugging her. "I'll never forget why I made friends with you in 1st grade. You dressed so cute and your hair was so pretty! But once I got to know, you, I knew I would always be friends with you!" Mai said crying. Miyoko was crying too. "Good bye Mai! I'll always love you! You'll always be my best friend and no one can ever take your place!" "I love you too Miyoko!" Mai said lettin go. "I have to go now, but I'll say hello every morning on the web cam!" "Goodbye every one!" "I'll never forget you!" Mai said as she walked toward her plane gate. Miyoko looked at her hand. It still had the friendship ring in it! "WAIT MAI!" Miyoko said running through the gate. "Miyoko wait! You can't go in there!" Sora yelled. Mai was just about to get on the plane when she heard Miyoko. "Mai! You forgot your ring. Remember you threw it when you saw me and Sora....er..." "Miyoko! You really are a good friend!" "I'll get you a souvenir from France!" They hugged one last time and Sora ran up to Miyoko. Mai boarded the plane and Miyoko went back to the gate entrance where everyone was waiting. The plane pulled off and Miyoko fell to her knees. "Goodbye Mai..." she whispered.
