Don’t look for me, please.
I’m not lost, but I don’t where I’m going.
Don’t worry about me. I promise I’ll be careful.
This isn’t anybodies fault.
Life is ever so short. It gets shorter all the time.
I’m wasting time. I’m withering away.
I won’t look back and regret it.
She always told me stories. She told me stories before I went to sleep. Stories full of adventure sometimes even dragons completed with castles, kings, and queens.
Every fabricated detail led me to believe she’d seen it with her own eyes, but I saw the longing in her eyes, the burning to have actually experienced it.
It was then I made that promise to her. A promise that she’d see everything she’d only ever dreamed of. We’d see the world together through my eyes.
I’ve failed her a lot. I’ve only bestowed upon her disappointment. That has to change.
And it will.
I don’t know when I’ll leave and I don’t know how, but I will, because I have to.
I owe her so much. I can’t let her down.
