HA! I got LINUX to work! I guess I might upgrade from my decade old Windows afterall.
Ubuntu is so easy it's funny. Unless you have an old ATI card and a new version of ubuntu.. or certain wireless cards, or dial-up.
-some- windows apps work under WINE, too. Try stuff out. anddd, I think there's even a BOINC client so you can run rosetta, and the world community grid, and what not :3
