Fast or slow,
I love how it flows
Through my mind,
Down my spine,
In a rhythmatic beat,
The chill and heat
Enclosing around me
Shaking me,
Making me,
Soothing me,
Moving me,
Taking me
To be free
Or at least far away,
To forget my troubles and pain,
And remember the good things
And the happiness it brings.
I close my eyes,
And listen as the lyrics rise,
Trying to quiet me and say,
"Don't worry, it'll be ok."
I let myself drift
To a deep abyss
That is my brain,
So it's music to blame.
