Chapter 5
"How could Miyoko do this to me......?" Mai said aloud to herself. She wiped her tears away and continued her journey home. What she didnt know was that Kuro and Kouromi were watching her from the shadows. "Hello...Mai-chan." Kuro popped out from behind a bush. Kouromi was right behind her. "I know what just happened between you and Miyoko..." Kuro told her. "How do you know all this?" Mai asked. "Because she told me. She knew you would walk in the door and see them. She wanted you out of the picture...she wanted Sora all to herself." Kuro lied. But the lie only made Mai angrier. Thats exactly what Kuro wanted to happen. "So to get back at Miyoko, I was thinking we could team up.....deal?" Kuro said holding out her hand. Mai was too mad to think before she agreed. "Deal." Mai answered grabbing Kuros hand. A black orb formed around Mai and her eyes turned red with envy. She grew wings on her back and a tail appered. She had horns on her head and her outfit changed into what looked like a red and black cut off biker outfit. Mai laughed with hatred in her heart. She was being possessed by Kuros demonic powers. Back at Miyoko's house everyone had rushed in earlier to see why Mai had left. "What happened to Mai-chan su?" Yuki asked. "Why did she rush out so suddenly?" "Something I did upset Mai, and she just stormed off." "I guess the party's cancelled.." Miyoko answered. They all knew Miyoko didnt want to be bothered so everyone left. "Miyoko turned on the TV, and tried to fall asleep, but she couldnt. Usagi came in. "Tell me whats wrong Miyoko, you'll fell so much better...." "Ok...Usagi, but you cant tell." Miyoko demanded. "Promise." Usagi told her. Miyoko explained what had happened. "Well," Usagi started, "I think you and Sora make a better couple. Mai will come around and figure that out. She wants Sora all for herself, and she doesnt share the bond you and him have together...I mean, you do have a child...and you should just come clean to Mai." "But, I thought you couldnt tell a mortal?" Miyoko said. "If that mortal is a mortal you can trust with your secret wont get in your way, like a best friend perhaps.....then you can tell." "But if that mortal gets in your way, you could let the world down.." Miyoko wasnt sure if she should tell Mai. Mai was mad at her and she might tell her secret, but if Mai forgave Miyoko, she would tell her. "Thanks Usagi, I'll think about that..." Miyoko said hugging Usagi. A little bit after Usagi left, Sora came in. "Miyoko, Im sorry about what happened...I didnt mean for her to see that." he explained. "It's ok Sora, you shouldnt be sorry for expressing your feelings, right?" Miyoko said happily to Sora. Sora hugged Miyoko. But it wasnt one of those thank you hugs. It was a meaningful hug. Miyoko hugged Sora back. "It makes me upset when I make you depressed...I dont want to do that.." Sora told her still holding on tight. "All I want is to make you happy in life. Sora falls on top of Miyoko. "I will always, no matter what protect you and Icha. I wont ever let anything bad happen to you. I wont fail you and Icha in the future...you are my wife anyway....." Miyokos heart was pounding harder than it ever did before. Icha popped into the room and broke the tension. Everyone just stared. "What are you doing?" Icha asked. "Im....giving Mommy..an upside down hug.." Sora told her. "And Daddy was just leaving!" Miyoko said prying Sora off of her and pushing him out the door. "Good night Icha!" Miyoko told her and she sent her off to bed. Miyoko shut the door and got under her covers. Her face was the reddest its ever been. She couldnt believe what had happened....But tomorrow was the Grand Opening of Momo Cafe, and she had to get some sleep.
