one of my favorite authors died yesterday. David Eddings age 77. He wrote these 2 sets of books, Belgariad and Malloreon and other books in the overall universe. His heroes were simple, similar to Tolkien's. Also it was very centered around religious East Vs West sort of mentality but didn't take away from the overall saga.
His wife helped him write all the books, she passed away 2 years which makes you wonder if he couldn't live without her.
