"Granda?" I called from the celller.
"Hmm?" He replies.
"How many more books do you want?" I asked, looking up at the shelves and boxes surrounding me.
"Another crate full or so." He says, I can barely hear his small, gruff voice from upstair.
"Allright." I answer and wade through he calls the celler. Various items lay on shelves and cover the floor, which I doubted was there except for the constant solidness under my feet. I make my way to the far corner where my grandad kept his older and more valuable books in crates. Reaching for the most accessible crate I noticed a small wooden trunk. Curious, I stooped to take a closer look, it was a dirty, dark blue color with tarnished gold hinges, where the lock should have been was only a hole in the wood. Curious still I cautiously lifted the lid and peered inside, a book, a single black book with intricate red binding clasps. The book was huge but oddly enough it had almost no pages, just a few yellowed ones at the end of it.
"Liukaus!" My grandad yelled from the top of the stairs.
"C-coming!" I stuttered, shocked I let the trunk lid slam shut, and grabbed a random crate. Turning to the stairs I hurried up to my grandad and almost fell several times because I had picke a rather heavy box.
"I could have been down-there and back twice-in the time-you took boy!" My grandad coughed as he spoke.
"Sorry, I found this trunk and was look--." I was cut off by grandad.
"You were snooping weren't you?!" He yelled, he was really angry, I figured there had to be something about that trunk.
"I'm sorry granda." I apologized quietly.
"Sorry! Ha!." He huffed and went quiet for a second.
"Anyways, were are those books?" He asked inpatiently.
