Kyrie was brought up by her father after her mother died because of a fire. Even if he was a vampire he still taught her that they were bad in many ways. In some ways it made Kyrie feel like a bad person because of what she was. He made sure to teach her some fighting skills, but not much. School has never really interested her like the world did so she dropped out and became a drifter. That doesn't mean that Kyrie isn't smart. She doesn't hate her kind, but she has problems trusting them. In a way she likes meeting them sometimes if there good vampires.
