Marik looked up at Ashlyn. He frowned slightly, feeling something coming on that he had never expected. His frown turned to a scowl as he grabbed her by the throat of her shirt, pulling her close. Their faces were within an inch of one another, and he was staring at her with all the hatred he could muster. He grabbed his Millennium Rod from his side and held the pointed end over her heart.
"Ashlyn, I'm dying. You let this happen to me. This is your doing. I'm going to die, but I'm taking you with me, you little b***h."
With that, he applied force to the Millennium Rod and stabbed the pointed edge in through her heart. Inevitably, blood began to drip from her mouth. Seeing this, Marik pulled her the extra inch, pressing their lips together. He knew in an instant that, even in death, she would be the most loyal Rare Hunter ever to be on his side.
And thusly, they both died, together forever and locked in an eternal, though hateful, kiss.
