The events of today..
I went to the dentist, got three fillings done. Had five shots, was numb for four hours. My jaw hurts really bad at the moment, to the point where I can't talk or...I'll scream out in pain, basically. It REALLY hurts.
I've decided that I won't be spending as much time on the computer. Instead, I will be READING. My creativity has been really low lately, and I haven't been feeling all too well emotionally.. And reading helps. So, yeah.. I'll write short little book reveiws and stuff, incase you people want to know what I read.
Okay, today I read a whole book in...'Bout four hours.
Book: Scribbler of Dreams
Author: Mary E. Pearson
A very, very good book, I must say. In a way, it's kind of a Romeo & Juliet-ish book. To sum it up shortly, without giving anything away... About a century ago, the Crutchfield family was divided by inheritance. Maggie Crutchfeild received half of the land. Maggie had an affair with her sister, Amanda's [who received the other half of the land], husband, Something-or-another Malone, and that drew hate between the two. Maggie sold a bunch of her land, she was rich, yada yada, and the Malones sold none of it. Anyways, five generations later, our heroin, Miss Kaitlin Malone, and her sister Abby are going to attend Twin Oaks Public High School instead of a christian public school on Crutchfield land, under the name Hampton [her mother's maiden name].
A year before, her father was put into jail for the murder of So-and-so [who's name I don't remember] Crutchfield. So they didn't have any money to attend the private school any longer...
Anywhoo, Kaitlin burns into her mind that she HATES the Crutchfields. So when she goes to school, she goes to the courtyard during lunch and sees a rather good-looking fellow sprawled out in the grass. He sketches, so he's an artist of sorts. For a few days it's just that way, and they start speaking few word sentences to eachother...Okay, then they talk more and more, and you don't need to know the mushy details. ANYWAYS, she finds out that he was sketching her. Aww, how sweet. (: His initials at the bottom of the page read B. C. She knows the 'B' stands for 'Bram', his name. But she didn't expect what C stands for. Can you guess it? I'll give you a hint. They've only been Malone's one enemy for, what, a century?
Anywhoo, Kait decides not to tell him who she is. They get closer, and I won't tell you much more. But at the end it seems like the ending is going to be really sad, but it's actually really good. Ya know, most stories have happy endings...Yeah. Anyways, I'll stop. If you want to know more, go to Borders or some kind of bookstore and look for it. I bought it for like, five bucks? Shouldn't be too expensive.
