Final Step
When is my final step? Is it today?
When my final step comes to quit me
in life, like a man courts a woman to
bride will it be a magnificent one?
Will it be one to remember?
Is my final step going to be with the man
I love. Or will it be alone, in a house,
with no one to be with me.
In my final step I hope to be joined
with those I love.
Will your final step be a wonderful one?
will it be one to laugh about?
Or will you fall so swiftly?
The ones you love are your final step. Take to them
swiftly or they may not be there.
