Does it give you a rush?
Oh yes, it feels nice...
To see the look on their faces,
Read the words in a text.
But then, there is the silence that comes after.
Your thoughts are the only things that keep you from losing control.
The regrets,
Those tormenting regrets that tug at your conscious mind.
Echo endlessly
Bouncing haplessly back and forth.
You wish for it to cease, but the one has already turned their back to you.
As you watch them leave, your heart calls out for them to return,
To no avail...
