True Friends?

How can you tell if you have TRUE friends you ask?
That is for you to say and no one else,
no others' choice,
But yours,
If you still don't know,
Then take a good look,
See what their TRUE hearts are,
Where they lie,
And where they might go...

Think,
Do they care about you?
Do you MATTER to them?
Do THEY matter to you?
Do they help you?
In your time of need?
Or are they only there when they WANT TO BE?

Or are they kind to you,
And approve of you,
and support you,
When they should be.

If they trust you,
and you trust them,
and believe in you,
and help you in your time of need,
and you help them when they need it,
and they always want you to be happy,
and you want them to be too...
Then they ARE your TRUE friends.

But if it's the opposite,
Then you better recheck your friends,
Or your life will go down to toil and trouble and despair...
For it may be too late to turn back...
So be careful who you choose...
As a "friend".
Or your life could turn upside down..
Beware...
For it may not be simple as black and white.
