A little girl smiling at her dad
Her dad smiling back
An almost picture perfect family
Pictures of a dad and his daughter
But there is no mother
Where could she have gone?
The little girl doesn't really understand
A hesitant dad
A curious daughter
Wheres the mother?
Did she go for a walk and get lost?
Was she late to work?
Where is she the daughter asks again
You can't blame a little girl for being curious
The father explains to his daughter
Mommy's in a better place where she can see us and watch us
The girl looks at her dad and asks
Where is that?
Can I see mommy?
A small tear runs down the dads face
It's a place called heaven
And maybe one day, hopefully not soon, you can see her once again
So that's where mommy is...
Did the girl really ever understand at the time what her dad was saying?
Maybe, but all that's forgotten now. The girl still curious about her mother though. But doesn't really want to know more...
