The poor girl woke up before dawn. She grabbed her coat and opened the window in the room she was left in. Before trying to get out quietly, she reached into the pocket of her hooded coat. "Are you looking for this?" Louie said quietly as Layla closed the window. "Why are you trying to leave? Stay for a while." he said. She tried to grab the silver neklace w/ a blue gem in the middle from Louie but he wouldn't give it. She gave up and sat on the bed "Fine. Have it your way." She quickly came at him with a flying kick but he dodged it. She punched, kicked and tackled him but he dodged all of them. "You're quite feisty" he said. Layla gaped for air and started attacking again trying to grab the necklace. "what it it with you and this necklace?" he asked. "That's my mother's necklace!" she yelled and tried t kick him again. "Don't you ever try asking politely?" he asked. She sat on the bed gasping for air "Give- Give it...back." There was a moment of silence and then finally "Please give it back.". Louie gave her the necklace. "Just like that?" she asked. "Yes, Layla.". She looked up at him and yelled "H-How do you know my name?!!". "Take it easy. You're in Edmund's manor. By the way, I'm Louie". She looked down sadly. "What's wrong? Did he do something to you?" he asked. Layla replied "I can't face him, I did some things horribly wrong". Louie said "I'm sure you can. If you're his daughter, he'll forgive you." "Somehow, I feel strangely at ease w/ this... vampire.' she thought. "Are you going?" he asked. Layla nodded and went out through the window. Louie let her go. "Who was she really?" he thought. "I've grown quite fond f watching her sleep."
