What’s this?
A discovery?
I don’t understand.
My room so empty - now full of sound.
Cloud - the center of my amazement.
A soft bundle from a glass basket.
Brown eyes meet brown eyes,
Skin to fur - collapse of a silver fortress.
I want to keep it, but I don’t know why.
A connection that is undefined.
Warmth and a heart different from mine.
Shadowed figure - frightened,
Head spinning - tired - hungry.
Talking - not knowing what I’m saying.
Wondering when I can sleep again.
I opened the door that squeaked because of it’s rusted nails.
Peeked into the room.
My giant held it high in the air.
Iron eyed puppet in a grey room.
The windows whisper with joy.
He sank to the floor with the squirming new born.
The kitten sat out it’s first ‘Meow’.
Sign of cracked armor.
Castle - a clear view of inside.
Suffocated by the afternoon air - misty elevation.
Little sister now with a charitable memory.
I closed the door that squeaked because of it’s rusted nails.
“Daddy, DADDY you’ll never believe this!!”
