Uneventful day, but what I really wanna note down for future reference was the dream I had last night.
I was on a giant carosel, and the center of the carosel, which the horses revolved around, was a huge silver tree. It's branches were black, but it's bark was silver, that is. Instead of fruit or leaves, though, the tree had masks hanging from black strings. There were hundreds of them, and as you rode on the carosel, you rode through a forest of masks. I couldn't see the edge of the carosel, and no matter how many times I traveled around the carosel, I never saw the same mask twice.
There were pillars, as well, with statues of people in them. I dismounted, and I was looking at the pillars and the masks, looking for my mask. I walked for a long time, and the music of the carosel became more distorted and creepy the farther I walked into the mask wood. Finally, I reached a pillar that looked a lot older than the other ones. The paint, which was blueish gray, was crackled and flaking off, to reveal a plain face underneath, with no painted eyes or anything. Just a sugestion of a nose, and a slightly defined mouth, and indents for the eyes, but no real details.
It was a full statue, but wooden, and painted, of myself, but with undefined details. It looked like it was half emerging from the pillar. Clutched to it's chest was a small watch, and I realize that the time was ticking painfully away, and there wasn't much time left for me to find the face for my statue. I looked and looked, but I couldn't find it. I was almost in tears, and I fell down and scraped my knees.....
and then my mum woke me up. I think we can all agree on this one with a firm "What the hell??" exclamation and dismissal of the eroded nerves of my mind.
