Random Rating: iPod Touch
I have a Random Rating for the newest iPod by Apple. Many wanted one for Christmas, some got one for Christmas (ME). So here is my review of the iPod Touch.
This is no ordinary iPod..... Not only does it have a touch screen, it has Wi-Fi connectivity, meaning that if you are in a Wi-Fi enabled zone (or hotspot, if you prefer) then you can access the WorldWideWeb right at the palm of your hands. You can even access the iTunes store with a Wi-Fi connection. This way, you can download songs, movies, games, etc. strait to your iPod Touch at any hotspot. As far as I know, iPod Touches come in sizes of 8, 16, and 32 GB memories. I do not believe there is any spot for a memory chip at this time in iPod Touches.
iPod Touches have maps that are available for use in a hotspot for when you are stuck. That feature can sure be handy!
They even have a notepad, where you type in notes using the touch screen feature. Or you can put a note on a certain time of a certain day that you will be doing something, and even set it up to have an alarm go off when that time comes.
iPod Touches even have a built-in speaker!! This nearly eliminates the need for an iPod Dock stereo. As long as you don't have a pair of headphones in, it will automatically go to speaker mode.
The iPod Touch has a built in adress book. You can store phone numbers, email adresses, URLs, and home adresses for future viewing.
When doing anything on your iPod Touch, if you wish to return to the homepage to go to a different function, you can push the home button, which is right at the bottom.
iPod Touches play music, videos, and photos. And any app that you buy from the Apple App Store (which by the way, is available in a hotspot on your iPod Touch).
You can scroll through your entire library by rolling your finger across the screen up, down, left, or right.
iPod Touches have a built in clock and alarm clock.
You can even use the buit in calculator that goes to numbers of digits in length of nine numbers (the highest number you can go to on it is 999,999,999).
You may have to download a newer version of the iTunes software if your current iTunes isn't high enough for the iPod Touch. Or, if this is your first iPod, you will have to dowload iTunes to store files on your iPod Touch.
If you do not want to buy songs for one dollar a piece, you can still download songs from any other source you know (as long as it is legal) and then put them on your iTunes library to store on your iPod Touch. Although, there are some things that are an iTunes exclusive download.
Overall, I will give iPod Touches a rating of 9.4 out of 10
