I am here to rate the video game Fracture. This is the first thing that I am rating on a new segment of my journal called Random Rating. I will rate video games, TV Shows, gadgets, etc. So here is my rating of Fracture.
In the game Fracture, you play as someone that most people will refer to you as "Brody". The game takes place after global warming has occured. The eastern half of America is underwater due to the polar icecaps melting. The eastern side seceeded from the union and started a new country known as Pacifica. Their new leader calls himself "Sheridan". Sheridan genetically mutated the people of Pacifica to the point where they could withstand the new conditions of their life. The western side (the one Brody is on) tried to outlaw genetic mutation. When it was passed, Pacifica became its own. But Sheridan's creations got out of control and are trying to destroy the rest of the world. The westerners have created TD guns (Terrain Deformators). Your goal is to go to the eastern side and lift up the ground above to new sea level while fighting Pacifican soldiers created by Sheridan.

Brody is told he must go to the Dreadnought, a power point of Pacifica. He must travel through many power labs and fixing up generators on the way. Eventually he finds acid-like puddles around the underground mines of the Pacificans. He later fights very large, deformed Pacificans called Bolla and finds out that the acid liquid is a Pacifican experiment called XP-61. It is a lethal chemical that can be liquidized or an airborn gas. You hear that Sheridan and a large army of Pacificans have attacked Washington, D.C. You rush to the scene in a ship with your new friend, Arikku. Arikku is a former Pacifican who was half-mutated, giving her physcic abilities. She doesn't come up much more in the game though, showing up at the beginning of Act 3 and mainly in the end of Act 3. Sheridan will kill (HERE'S A SPOILER!!) one of your friends with an injection of the XP-61. You chase him through D.C. until you find him. And when you do find him, he transforms into a creature very similar to a Bolla. Although he has a larger healthspan and during the battle, Creepers (annoying little ground diggers) will be attacking you. After you FINALLY defeat him (it will take a while) peace will be restored and Arikku will help you rebuild the new society.......
But overall, I would give this game a 9.6 Out of 10
