Since I've been hanging out in the thread, I've actually written a couple of short news articles, which I will post here in my journal. so without further adieu, I present to you my interview with Trixie, the Barton Regular of the Null Chamber, and "A Fluff on Fluffs; An Animated Love Story".
Note: You have a 90% chance of not catching pretty much all of the jokes in here if you haven't been keeping up with the latest on zOMG.
Quote:
Mia: Hello everyone! Reporter-in-training Mia here in the Null Chamber doing an interview with a regular who many zOMGers are familiar with! Say hello to Trixie! biggrin
Trixie: Hi everyone! whee
Mia: So Trixie, as many Gaians know it's your job to help people out around the Null Chamber. How did you end up getting a post here?
Trixie: Well, I actually volunteered for this post. It was either in here or out near Deadman's Pass, which I really wouldn't be able to stand.
Mia: And why exactly is that?
Trixie: Well... ugh, some of the other guards might never let me live this down but... you know those... bug things? The metal ones flying around the farm?
Mia: The Alarmskeeters? What about them?
Trixie: Let's just say I have a little... fear... of mosquitoes... and that those... things *shiver* remind me waaay to much of them! gonk
Mia: Oh! So you'd rather be out in a strange crystal chamber in an unknown location than near some bugs?
Trixie: ...yes. Listen, can we change the topic?
Mia: Sure sure. Sorry for getting a little touchy-feely there. Want I should leave?
Trixie: No! I mean, er, it's alright. It's just nice to be able to talk to someone. I've been in here forever and it gets awfully boring.
Mia: But plenty of people pass through here. I'm sure you find lots of people you can talk to!
Trixie: No actually... Unless someone wants information on the chamber or help with their rings, no one really talks to me. Everyone's too busy resting to get their strength back up or deciding which rings to upgrade.
Mia: Wow... so what do you do for entertainment around here?
Trixie: Well, at first I just observed the crystals, trying to find shapes in the patterns. Like when you're cloud gazing. But unlike clouds, the crystal patterns never change, so after a couple days of that I got pretty bored...
Mia: So now you just sit around?
Trixie: ...don't tell Leon, but I have a Go-player with me that I listen to. I change the batteries during my breaks.
Mia: They give you breaks?
Trixie: Of course they give me breaks! I'm a regular, not a prisoner!
Mia: sweatdrop Right... it just seems like you're always in here!
Trixie: Well, my breaks are pretty short. I have 10 minutes to run over to Barton Town, get some food, use the bathroom or shower, and run back. Sometimes when it gets really busy one of the other guards will bring me something to eat since I can't go get it myself. They never stay very long to talk though.
Mia: That's too bad. It seems like you're really lonely in here.
Trixie: Yes... so... carneverously... achingly... endessly...
Mia: eek WTF?!?!
Trixie: HA! Fooled you. razz
Mia: stressed *sarcasm* Ha ha, very funny! */sarcasm* Hey wait! If you've barely left the chamber and hardly talk to anyone, how in the world do you know about the giftboxes?!
Trixie: I've been downloading the Daily Kokeshi onto my Go-player and watching while I'm in here. ^^
Mia: Oh, well, okay then ^^ I think that's all the time we have! Any last words, Trix?
Trixie: Be safe out there! And stop by to talk every once in a while, won't you? wink

A Fluff On Fluffs; An Animated Love Story
by MiaIkumis#1Fan
The Daily Kokeshi
Southwest Bassken Lake- With all of the craziness revolving around She-wolf and Papa Saw's affair, "Gift-box Raep Time", as well as new rumors of Mother Grass Fluff and the Gnome General secretly dating, many Gaians are left questioning the commitment, morals, and even the strength of the Animated. A gaian I spoke to who would like to remain anonymous says, "I'm starting to wonder if the Animated are working together at all. Some of them just seem to be messing up all sorts of things for themselves with these drama llamas... all of the marriages and serious relationships seem to be ending in affairs."
Well, today we bring you a different sort of story, not one of an affair, but an inspiring love story between two beloved fluffs.
"I met Hana during a glitch* that allowed some of the grass fluffs to cross over into the Zen Gardens," says Blade, one of the Mother Fluff Guards of Bassken Lake. "We started off as just long-distance friends. Every once in a while one of us would go to visit the other. Of course, with our work it would never be for too long, but after a few visits we began dating."
"Blade's such a sweetheart, he took me on our first date to "Date Rock" near the waterfall in Bassken. It was so romantic," says the smitten young sakura fluff Hana. "And to think at first I didn't even like him much at first! The real reason I went over to talk to him was because we sakura fluffs thought he and his pals were trying to move into our territory... I'm really happy that we started talking though. I love him so much now."
Both agree that the long-distance relationship was difficult at first, but both stayed committed. After a year of dating, Blade proposed to Hana at Date Rock, the site of their very first date, with a CL 1.4 Ghost Ring.
"Sure it's nothing fancy," the sakura fluff says, "But it's the thought that counts, plus it matches so well with my eyes! *laugh*"
The wedding for the two has not been given an exact date yet, but the couple states that it will happen some time within the next few months. For now the two lovebirds--er, fluffs, says they're perfectly happy living in their new home just southwest of the wolf den near the Zen Gardens-Bassken Lake border.
"It's great that [neither of them] have to miss out on their jobs. The house is still close enough to the Zen Gardens that Hana doesn't miss [work], and neither does Blade." This statement came from a fellow mother fluff guard and friend of Blade's by the name of Wheat. Mother fluff could not be reached for a statement, but Wheat also spoke on her behalf and went on to say that their relationship is good in a way, because of how it helps the relations between the grass fluffs and the sakura fluffs. Animated all over Gaia are proudly starting relationships with others outside of their immediate areas, whether these relationships are those of friendship or love stories like Hana and Blade's, especially those involving fluffs. The two seem to have blurred the thin lines separating the different races of fluffs, whether they be sand, barnacle, carrion, air, sakura, or grass.
"We weren't really thinking of what the effects would be when we started dating, but I'm glad our relationship has had a positive impact in the Animated community," says Blade.
"I'm glad we made a difference for people just by being ourselves," agrees Hana.
Though many of the relationship stories in today's news seem to have negative effects on the community, stories like this remind us, both Animated and "Natural" alike, that not all love stories end in tragedies.
* ((glitch is not an actual glitch. It's just for the purpose of this article. So don't worry about getting mauled by mother fluff guards in the Zen Gardens or anything))
