I was young
10, maybe eleven or so
and my perfect eyesight
was my only perfection
I have grown
My hair is softer, darker, elegant
My skin is softer, paler, smooth
My lips are rounded perfectly pink
My eyes are a mixture from the deep down
But my imperfections
I right eye is nearly blind
How can I ever see again?
How will I go out in public?
With these thin rimed glasses?
Black, small, squared...
My luck is running out
My sister cannot take hereditary rights over the kingdom
our village is depending on us
And the fawns by the river depend upon us
And the fearies are loosing their charm
And the gowns on girls don't sway as they used to....
I can see it.
Through my thin rimmed glasses
My imperfection
I have lost sight of the truest matter
Beyond love
But protecting your love
My kingdom will fail without my help
I must get back in the game
Learn to live through this
And now, I plan
My desk is covered
Papers, maps, plans, diagrams
Ideas litter these pages
I must save my kingdom
I cannot fail
For I will watch the battle play out
From behind my thin rimmed glasses
And we shall succeed
For if we do not
My love will die
The kingdom will die
Everything will be lost
Oh, but a cost!
