By the light of the moon,

Please let death be soon,

Breathing raggedly,
This fair night in June,
My time has come to be,

and please let it be soon,
I don't even care how,

The time is drawing nigh,
The night soft beneath the moon,
It is time to say good-bye,

In the light of the moon,

Death's kiss doth come soon,
