Black is the ash of what was once life
The lung of a smoker
Flesh rotting in the grave
The night sky lit by smiling stars
The dark clouds rolling in with the storm
The mask of fear over the world
A train derailing from the tracks
Loud tormented screams of agony
Chanting of believers in dim candle light
The piecing chill of ice running down your spine
The pull of your stitches when you try to open your mouth
The licorice that everyone despises even though it was first
The vengeance as it spills from your lips…
