Dark Light is one of the best albums I've heard in a long time. It's also the only one I've ever anticipated... ever. That should be kinda scary, considering that I detest H.I.M.'s whiny-emo ness. However, the tracks on this new CD [which came out today] are a significant evolution from their first album, which made me want to kill myself. The vocals are much smoother, and Ville must have had voice lessons or something. The lyrics are also a lot less corny. ["Your Sweet Six Six Six", anyone?] Besides the vocals, the music itself has also gotten much better, and the tunes are actually quite catchy.
In other words, whiny little emo-vampire dude Ville and his instrument-playing friends have grown up. I only wish that the same could be said about Bam Margera...
All in all, the album is so worth it.
