If you've been going to our school lately, you'll hear Adrian (one of the most incredible disciples of God) talk about how teenage dating is wrong. At first, I was like "Uh no it aint". God sent a message that dating (unless for marriage purposes) is lust instead of love, and that it just distracts from him and his purpose. I rejected that message this week for a while (which was very sinful of me!) and decided to go ahead with dating anyways. Let's see what that did for me:
* I felt terrible and guilty.
* I began thinking about *name bleeped out* more than God.
* He started stating lustful comments, and my sin detector didn't go off.
For Matthew 5:28 says: "But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart."
That also goes for woman lustfully looking at men. Even if you think it's love and admiration, when you're a middle school student, it's just Satan messing with your hormones again.
What's so bad about adultery if EVERYONE does it?
The wages of sin are DEATH. , says Jesus.
Also, this putting others before God, being lustful, making a commitment that none of us teenagers have the capability to keep, and putting yourself in a vulnerable position is INPURE. Are you really going to stay with your boyfriend or girlfriend for life? No? Then you shouldn't be dating.
Are you willing to be "dating" without any physical contact? No? Then don't.
As God has said, it is INPURE., and nothing impure shall enter the kingdom of heaven.
I know not dating is flipping hard, I know. But it is said:
Act 14:21-22
They preached the good news in that city and won a large number of disciples. Then they returned to Lystra, Iconium and Antioch,
strengthening the disciples and encouraging them to remain true to the faith. “We must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God,” they said.
It's not going to be easy to reshape America, but the Holy Ghost gives us strength.
