Disguising a cheap attempt at fooling the population, you actually tried disguising it as tank maintenance? Are we in first grade, here? I thought only kids over 13 could join... tsk tsk, Gaia Staff betray their own Privacy Policy and ToS, as well as US law. (Unless, of course, you actually are adults - in which case, I should applaud you! whee You've ushered negative numbers into the official IQ charts.)
Seriously, over half a day's worth of tank maintenance, only a few hours after the tanks came out? I couldn't believe it! evil And then I saw it - you tried to fool us, lengthening the fish's lifespan a few weeks. That's all it was and you know it. Tsk, tsk, Gaia. How stupid do you think we are? How dare you?!
Ummm.... we aren't having as much of a problem with their LIFESPAN as we are with them COSTING IRL MONEY AND JUST GENERALLY DYING ANYWAY. We're not asking anymore - We, the Gaians that you are so obviously concerned about the happiness of, now demand that you make at least a few fish buyable with Gold. Their lifespans are worth s**t to us - as long as we could buy them without dipping into our real-life funds, we could care less if they died in a week. Just changing the stupid lifespan is not enough, we want what we've been actually asking for and not just a cheap work-around that still only benefits you and your money-hungry company.

Actually post here and act like you give a s**t about our opinions. Don't just make a feedback thread to create the illusion of your so obviously non-existent care and concern for how we feel.
I will not sit around any longer. Just because you do happen to do a few things right here and there does not excuse what is obviously a decietful, idiotic, greedy cash run. I will not deny that you guys do things right every once in a while - but lately you have made many wrong decisions in pricing, execution, and just plain covering up your idiotic schemes to make a quick buck.

Go ahead. I'll just make a new account, or even better yet - I'LL LEAVE. I'm sure many others share my opinions, and even though people have been screaming, pissing, moaning, and bitching about this being Cash-Shop Only, you obviously don't care at all or you would have done something about it. You don't seem to care about what any of us think or feel, you only want your god-damn money and your god-damn power over your consumers.
Write your letter here and tell Gaia Staff what you think!

You're finally rid of me. I've been here off and on since the end of '04 and I just have to say this place was great for a while. I enjoyed discussion with light hearted gamers and my fellow nerds but it seems like none of those good people exist anymore. The kind people who use to speak rationally and without crude language are such a rare breed that I'm lucky to find but one.
Also, there have been incidents and happenings here that I really disapprove of. The rose evolving item is too racy for PG-13. The fact you guys had an announcement about a couple who met and dated on this site when it's not supposed to be a dating site. The cash shop is all well and good, but having to pay real money for fake fish is going too far.
Lanzer, you're a great guy I just don't entirely agree with you and your staff. This is why I am taking my leave.

As for my items, I shall keep them where they are for now. If I hear of change I might come back. If for the worse my items will be sold and my gold given to a deserving friend or two.
As for my guilds, I will either leave them in the care of friends or sell them, it depends on how active they still are.

I feel your pain also. I had been on here since '04 also but I left in '06 because frankly, the site and the items sucked. so I gave up my account and now i'm back and I'm even more sadden by the ads,the items,the MTV shop,and this whole aquarium mess. It just feels to me anymore that gaia has sold out its loyal base.
