Beloved Stranger Who are you? Are you with me now? What if I loved you? Fearfully, I cry out like a child in the dark Who knows that shadows bode ill. My face is saturated With dry tears And my feet move forward. Only wisps of my remberences long To go back and grab your hand. But who are you? You are made of smiles and blushes. Pixles and sound waves. Ink and paper. Downtime and dreams. I have created you to hold me But my body stays cold. Alone. Solid. It is as cruel as solitude. Sometimes the breeze touhces my hand And I ache for you to be with me. My beloved stranger. My dream. Even wishes have been lacking As my mind moves down the worn path Of someone else's life. I stare at broken prototypes, Willing them to come alive And become you. My comforts are turning to resentment. They are not my own. I see the world through another's eyes, Hibernating until you reach me. You will tell me it's alright. And I will believe you. You will be mine, only mine. But now the sand sticks to my feet. The waves are cold and the birds screech A little too loud. My nose is cold. I touch it and it feels warm. Where are you? My beloved stranger. My dream.
