I was on my way home one night and there was this beautiful full moon out. It made me think of ways to describe it, so here is the result. Enjoy. PLEASE DO NOT STEAL.
Buttermilk Moon
My buttermilk moon
of pale yellow,
soft and glowy.
Featherlight, like silk.
Creamy and shy,
my blushing bride.
Sweet yet tart.
Buttery like a butterfly's wing.
My lemon cake à la mode moon.
Velvet and quiet.
Bright and muted,
a brush of soft lips.
A sigh, and a whisper
of sweet nothings.
My skin on skin moon,
come closer
closer.
Sugary and kind,
like the petals of a rose.
My wise and golden
coin.
My sweet, sweet
buttermilk moon.
