You don't seem to notice me so much.
I smile at you as we walk by
But hey,
You look away.
But once our eyes finally meet,
And you smile back at me,
And we have a few laughs together,
My heart
Skips a beat.
Maybe two.
I've been so lonely
But when I'm around you
Somehow
You make me forget it all.
My pain,
My loneliness,
My grief,
And anger.
And I can just stand by you
Feeling your warmth
Just standing close to you.
Inching maybe a bit closer.
And I wish
The moment
Could last forever.
I don't know you that well
But I feel as if I do
When we talk
We could go on forever.
Why do we stop?
Why are these two hearts so shy?
It's a bittersweet feeling.
You feel it most when you lie awake
Thinking about the person
Smiling to yourself
And realize how happy you are when you're with them
But somehow
For some reason
Begin to weep....
That
Is when
You realize it.
And that one person,
You could spend forever with,
And don't care what others think,
And would live for,
Die for....
That is the one true definition.
The one word
Some people
Wait a whole lifetime
To have it come true.
But hey,
