My Freewrite for English class! :3

I walk through the worn hallways of a school i once knew, literally a

shadow on the floor. A sharp ringing buzzes in my ears. The long tunnels fill with

empty souls - pale, misled creatures - just the shell of what used to be a person,

a kid, a student. They step all over me, with no notice at all. I try to call out, but

my mouth has been sealed shut, by some kind of dark force, trying to bind me

into the structure like the rest of the mindless body of kids. I pull away, but my

limbs feel as if they've been severed. My shadow body shuts down and i feel

nothing. Suddenly, I'm in a classroom, and the only thing i can hear is the 'thump

thump' of my slowly dying heart, echoing from the walls. I look around, taking in

my surroundings. The walls are covered in some sort of beige paint and the two

working lights are flickering, on and off. There are no desks, no chairs, no

posters or chalkboards. There aren't windows or books, pencils or pens. I'd have

to admit, this really wasn't a normal classroom. I also noticed that there weren't

any doors. It was a plain room, empty of any signs of life. I was alone, trapped,

terrified, curious. Without warning - no smoke like a magic trick, no hatch door

closing - stood before me a devilish creature. His skin - appearing to have been

sewn together from various victims - stretched across his body, pale and faded,

cold and lifeless. With a baby blue eye, and a scarlet colored eye, he stared at

me, burning a hole through my shadow-like state and right through the floor on

which i lay. Dead skin hanging from his neck revealed a sickly pale purple

colored tissue from long dead skin. There was no blood, only a thick sticky brown

residue which shines in the flicker of light. His nose was worn down to the bone

and parts of 'his' lips had been cut off, showing black and yellow rotting teeth.

His chest was bare, allowing me to see the different shades and sizes of skin

which had been sawn off of unfortunate children and adults. A ragged and dirty

cloth hangs from his waist, ripped and torn in spots, falling just just above his

knees. He was muscular and tense, with a fire burning in his eyes. I open my

mouth but my throat constricts and closes up. I gasp for air, but there was none.

The creature looms before me, leaning down until we are face to face. His breath

smells of rotting flesh and metal. The stench clouds my lungs, gagging me and I

feel as if I would throw up. Every breath I took; air, no air, relief, constriction. The

creature continued to stare me down. His eyes were intense, intimidating,

striking me with fear. I try to look away, but my eyes are locked on his. My mind

slips away, my soul floats from my body, in a frenzy of horror and consternation.

Panic takes over what is left of my senses as i struggle to break free of his

hellish grasp. My body and mind go numb. I feel limp and useless. I don't want to

move, I don't even want to think about moving, as if that very thought would

make me shatter into a million pieces and I'd turn to ash. He had won. He'd

taken my soul. A single tear rolled down my cheek as my eyes turn gray and my

peachy skin fades to a dull light purple. I take my last breath, and try to

comprehend what exactly is happening. My life flashes before my eyes, then,

everything goes black.

I wake some time later. I wake to the morning sunrise, the warm rays
shining through my window. It's time to get up for school. I rise from bed and turn
my alarm off. As I slowly pass the mirror, I take a glimps. I stop, frozen with fear,
my eyes locked on the mirror and the being staring back at me. The person in
the mirror, not a person at all. I see the oddly too familiar patches of pale dead
skin, sewn on and hanging down in some places revealing the sickly purple
tissue. I couldn't move, couldn't look away from those eyes, the baby blue and
scarlet colored eyes. My nightmare had become a reality. But that's impossible,
improbable. I must still be dreaming. The creature raises its multicolor hand and
reaches toward me. The mirror acts as a body of water, rippling around the
creature's hand as it outstretches towards me, ready to take hold and never let
go. I back up, but the hand grabs hold of my T-shirt and drags me toward the
mirror. I close my eyes as i start to scream. A split second later i open my eyes,
and realize there's nothing there. I begin to think I was hallucinating, and then I
look down. On my dresser lay a pale blue-ish piece of skin with a sticky brown
residue on the sides. A cold shiver ran down my spine, making the hairs on the
back of my neck stand on end. Was this really possible?
