Here's A Story Just Off The Top Of My Head
Yeah, I figured I'd write some kind of starter before I finish all my papers today, sort of a warm-up, but since my computer doesn't have a writing program, I thought I'd just type it up here. An interesting piece of work never hurt anyone, right? Anyway, this hasn't been edited, but I hope it doesn't burn too bad. I wrote it while washing dishes n.n

Random Writing
Sweet, gentle tones of some unknown song carressed my ears, and a few moments passed before I realized that I was awake, though the world to which I had awoken was one of darkness, one I knew well. I blinked my sightless eyes and then closed them once more, listening to that unknown tune. Perhaps I had heard it before, the familiarity was there, but the memory was just beyond my grasp. Notes clashed, and I could sense the colors splashing against each other like rain blowing in opposite directions, each collision exploding in a vivid burst of color. Color, the word caused the corners of my mouth to turn up in a smile, and I sat up, lifting the protection of the heavy blankets off of my naked body. A phenomenon that only I could see, and as I turned my body to put my feet on the floor, the intensity grew, and I froze, afraid to cause any more change, willing it to continue for eternity.
"Eternity..." I whispered, and my body shook with the cold.
As abruptly as it had began, the melody bode me farewell, and the storm of song began to fade, receding back through the night to whatever place it had come.
Tears filled my eyes, and I wrapped my arms around myself, weeping softly. I wasn't ready to let it go. Slowly I lifted my head and felt through this new darkness with my toes until they came in contact with the cold floor, and stood up. I reached with my hands and slowly felt my way along the wall towards the direction of my song. For that's what it was, it had been my song. My soul had seen it.
Faster, I must move faster.
Drops of blue and green hovered by my ear, their dying chimes crying faster, faster, don't be left behind!
Faster, I thought, as my shaking fingers felt the door. I felt along the side of it until I found the lock and wrestled it open, bursting through into the freezing night.
Suddenly I could move no longer. Standing on the cold concrete, my arms wrapped around my shivering body once more, face turned towads the sky. The last tones disappeared like bubbles popping, and the song was no more. Tears streamed down my cheeks as realization struck my like an arrow. As I looked up, my eyes, which had been following the sweet music of my soul, gazed for the first time upon the moon.
