STORY OF A GIRL
High on a sea side cliff
There stands a light house
And in this light house
Lives a girl. No one has
Ever heard her talk or knows
Her name. People only see
Her walk around on the beach
At night. She never comes out
Of her light house during the
Day. No one knows why…
There are a lot of rumors
About this girl. Some people say
She is a demon because her
Silver hair. Others say she
Is an angle because she
Always wares white clothes.
Every night the people in the town
Below would hear a voice…
A voice that is singing. The voice
Would echo through out the whole
Town. The rumors in the town
Say it is the girl singing from
The light house.
Singing to the ocean.
But no one was sure.
The singing was followed by
A bright white light.
One night something strange
Happened. There was no singing,
And no light. The girl was
Standing on the top of her
Light house and staring
Out into the ocean as
Though she was looking
For something, or someone…
Only the bravest of
Brave would walk up to her
Light house. But you have
To be even more brave
To try to talk to her.
The people in the town had a
Contest to see who is the
Bravest in the town.
The winner would go up to the
Light house and try to talk to
The girl. They had the contest
During the day and found the
Winner was a boy named
Alex. As night came around
Alex was sent to the cliff.
He waited for the girl to
Walk out of her house.
He saw her on the top of the light house
Staring out into the ocean
Like she did the privies night.
As he looks up at her he watched her
Quietly. After 10 minutes he
Went up to the light house
Door and knocked on it. The girl
Went down from the tower
And answered the door, not
Opening the door all the way
Just enough for one of her eyes
To be seen. Alex was
Filled with fear as she looked at him.
He tried not to look her directly
Into her bright red eyes.
It was the first time any human
Has ever seen this girls eyes.
Alex was thinking about what
To say to her but was to afraid to
Think strait. he looked at her clothes
And saw her long white dress
That had glitter all over it…
It looked as though the glitter
Was thousands of stars. He glanced
At the girls eyes. They were the color
Of the brightest red rose in mid spring.
The girl looked at him with a sudden stare
She knew he wasn’t going to say anything
At the time, so she slowly shuts the door.
Alex stood at the door for awhile. Then
He noticed the sun was slowly rising from
The horizon on the ocean. So he went back
To the town and told the towns folk about
What he saw. He described what the girl
Looked like and everything. Later that day
The town’s people asked Alex if he would
Like to go to the light house again and try to
Talk to the girl again. He was worried that
If he did go to the girl, he would freeze and
Just stare at her again… so the people gave
Him a list of questions to ask her… the list read…
1. Are you the girl singing at night?
2. Why do you only come out at night?
3. What is your name?
4. Do you know who the cause of the light is?
Alex was ready for his next visit
To the light house.
