Esme has been over for a while, however he is leaving tomorrow. It will be slightly more boring without him, but I must say that some things will be easier. xD I won't have to do dishes twice a day, I won't have to sleep on the other side of the couch and get stepped on by Terry at 5 in the morning, I won't have to take his cell phone calls, I won't be kept up until 4 in the morning anymore, I won't be forced to watch bad anime such as Street Fighter and hours of car-related TV shows, I won't be accused of being with child, I won't have to loose my voice talking and reading Half Blood Prince to him all night .. xD
.. although I must clarify that I do like reading to him, just not so late. xD
Anyway. xD I'm in an extreme amount of pain right now, every part of me feels so sore and painful that I don't even want to move. >< .. This pain is also arriving in the form of cramps, which I'm sure you all wanted to know about.
I have discovered a new way to make oatmeal. I never eat the pre-flavored boxed junk, due to it having a large amount of sugar and things I don't need more of, so I just invent my own flavors with plain oats. Yesterday morning I found some spiced cider drink mix, and I put it in my oatmeal, along with some cinnamon and raisins and a bit of sugar, and it was really good. ^^ I made some for mum, and she agreed that it was quite excellent. ^o^ I'm going to make some for Ryuu when I ever get a chance. Right now I'm cooking dinner in the form of chicken, which mum will be supplementing with rice and cream of chicken when she comes home from le store. Verrah yumm. ^^
Which reminds me of another amusing anecdote. Last night Esmerelda was joking about the attractiveness of various people, and he slightly randomly said in a mock-girly voice that Ryuu was teh smexy xD and I said "Yes, yes he is!" .. and he's like:
"You should never agree with me again."
Then he stopped talking for a while. I think he scared himself. xD
Anyway now my grandmum is showing her racist side and making really unkind statements about the predominance of the looters in New Orleans being black. Never mind the fact that almost everyone there *is* black, and I'm pretty sure that had this disaster happened anywhere else there would be looting there as well by white people. o_O I think race DOES having something to do with it all though - especially the slowness of the arrival of, oh, you know, help. I'm of the opinion that had this happened somewhere else in America (i.e a place with a higher population of white peoples) help would have come much much sooner.
But I dunno. x_x
Anyway. Last night I was forced to watch The Grudge (the Sarah Michelle Geller version) and I'm sure I had nightmares, though I can't remember them now. Esme thought it was pretty funny that I referred to the little boy as "Cat Boy" and the scary-arse shadow-ghost-red-eyed woman as a "Hair Demon" .. xDD *keels over* I'm like .. "LOOK! Behind you, Guy From Independence Day! It's the HAIR DEMON!" XDD
.. well anyway. Then I had dreams that I was singing. Which I seem to have a lot of these. They're very strange because I wake up and can still hear myself singing even though I'm not saying anything. o.O Wtf? Then before dawn I woke up because I heard this crunching noise next to me. I was afraid to open my eyes because I was pretty sure that it was the hair demon again, but it turns out that after forcing myself to turn over and look it was just Mr. Kitty.
XD .. I'm so paranoid.
Oh! Mum found out more about our genealogy ^^ We also seem to have French blood. So that's nifty. Also, on a less positive side, it has been confirmed that at one time the Pearls owned a plantation in Ohio (?) and several slaves, which rather sickens me. o.O But apparently great x5 grandpa Basil inherited the plantation and the slaves, which he later freed, so yay. =D
I miss my Ryuukun. ;_; Majorly.
