The one thing that panicks me most about friendship is the serious part.
I can't give advice. I freeze up when I try to tell people my opinions, especially if they're not exactly what they might want to hear.
And so I get all awkward when we talk about things. I really really want to be serious with my friends, and be able to talk about things like that. But I just can't help getting awkward.
Well, I've known this for a long time, and it just makes me feel so useless and extraneous. And then one of my friends finally noticed. And he said, "You're really just a kid. You can't be serious about anything, can you?"
I think things hurt worse when you already knew about them and people finally notice. Especially since this is one of the things I most dislike about myself. The only bad thing about not being able to grow up.
