So, I'm sitting here watching Life-Size because my little sister wants to watch it.
Hmm..........a movie about a disturbed teenager who needs therapy and a bimbo, air-headed, conceited, materialistic Barbie doll. And who better do they get to play these parts than a bimbo, air-headed, conceited, materialistic Barbie doll (i.e. Tyra Banks) and a future disturbed moron who needs therapy (i.e. Lindsey Lohan). Hmm.............nice!
You know, I've (sadly) seen this movie quite a few times and I STILL don't get the plot! I mean, I understand them giving the message about not letting life get you down. But, WTF does a stupid doll have to do with it?! I mean, I just don't get it!! I mean, the doll's a failure, then she comes to life and learns some lessons and instantly becomes a best seller?! WHAT THE FLYING F*CK?! It doesn't make any sense!! How does the doll coming to life and learning a lesson make ALL the dolls become best sellers?! How would the girls even know?! I JUST DON"T GET!!!!
Maybe it's the fact that she loses her materialistic image in the end....................go figure.
Now that I think about it, the movie does have a good lesson about life being more than just fashion and being perfect, something that EVERYONE (especially models!!!) can learn! Maybe that's what the movie was really about............
Well, hmm.................Tyra Banks WAS in the movie and portrayed the message, but that didn't seem to get through to her............
Again..................go figure.
