The thing is, you have to answer their trivia question so that you can enter the event room and you have to win[or be the first place] to get the free item/s.
I , and my fellow Audistas, did and so we started the game- beat up 8-directions.
The match was good, I'm head on head[is that what you call it??] with -SLC-Astig.
In this screen shot, you can see my IGN on the top, congratulating me on my "victory".
But actually, it was just a bluff.
In this screen shot, you can see that the real winner is -SLC-Astig, advancing just a little points.
I accepted my defeat, though I'm still a little regretful because I didn't did my best.
Oh well..
There will be another one tomorrow anyway!
