A few nights ago, my sister asked me what I'd want to do for college since it's 'so close' and all that jazz...
I've been meaning to tell my family that I'm not planning on going to college. That I think it's a big waste of time and unnecessary stress for some (not all) people. I told her a whilte lie that night, I told her that I was thinking of taking a year off before I started college. She got pissy...
She started on this sloppily thought out rant about how college is the only way you get what you want in life, and how only 'good, smart, and holy (yes, you can 'pshaw' now) people' go to college and get a degree of some sort.
For a while we debated what holy and good and smart meant...I won't go into that...but in the end I was thouroughly pissed..
I understand why people would want to go to college..and I respect the people who do. I think it would be a great experience and opritunity for them. But let me lie this out there right now for the sake of my own psyce. I do not want to, and will not go to college.

Ironic thing about the conversation between my sister and I...as we pulled up to my dad's house, where she was dropping me off, the song 'No Such Thing' by John Mayer started on the radio...
