On holy grounds we often pray
The time is now and today is the day
The fruit we eat is often blessed
The money we spend I have to come to detest
We are young and empty within our burden's
The people long to measure up to be certain
Their gift's are acknowledged & often surveyed
Like a rhyme or a musical they often are played
Beauty is rather accustomed
While age & wisdom are no longer subtle
In fact the harmony we once shared
Is indeed no longer there
Belittle our truth and tell falsehoods
Reoccurring the wrong and trying to be good
Through out the time we have starved
The burden's we carry are no longer ours
