Okay, I love my parents like crazy, but they are SO freaking overprotective. I have a friend who I've only known for like three weeks, but we are tight already and I'm supposed to go over to her house on Tuesday. Mind you, this is my last week in California before I leave for two weeks to go to Minnesota, so I want to cram in as much fun as I can before I have to leave. So, she was telling her mom that I am coming over and her mom offers to let me spend the night.

Cool, sounds like fun. So I asked my dad and he said that he'd think about it. Usually, that means a yes from him. I mean, why not, right?

Well, this morning, he goes, "I thought about it, and I won't let you spend the night. It's the middle of the week and this is your first trip to her house. You barely know her--she's a new friend. Maybe when you get back from Minnesota."

Like OMG WTF? I had a friend who lived in a ghetto-a** neighborhood...and he let me spend the night without even MEETING her parents! I don't get it. Grr. I'z mad.
