Okay, okay, so yeah, this is a rant... I haven't done one in a while....

My name is Nuit. I'm not X15, or 60753, or a barcode.
I am an individual.
I am not a mindless ant, who thinks only about the "good of the colony".
Screw everyone else, I'm gonna be me.

Has anyone noticed that the Man is trying to assign every aspect of a person a number?
Like, at our school, there's something called a Lexile number, which is supposed to tell you how well your reading and comprehension is.
Okay, that's great, but really I've never heard of the number 1500+.
If you're gonna number me, atleast do it right.

Or, like the IQ test I took a few years back.
To get into the gifted program, you had to have a number of 131 or higher.
Well, I got in, though I don't know the number.
My parents thought it'd get to my head.
Oh, yes, I can see it now.
"I am vastly supior to you and your moronic brethern because my intelligence number is higher than yours."
Yeah, right.
(Although, I probably would say something like that if I was going to do that.)

Or, like grades.
Whoo Hoo! Some teacher that only cares abou ther salary has assigned a letter to my name, that will go on my Permanent Record! Le gasp!
Nothing is permanent.
Not paper, not ink, nor the blood that humans love to bathe in. (Don't tell me I'm wrong.)
I don't jump through hoops for anyone.
Especially when the rewards don't exsist.

Who is Nuit Douce, you ask?
I mean, she's not a number, or a sterotype, right?

Nuit Douce is a girl.
She is addicted to the internet, loves videogames and playing her flute.
She's a roller coaster junkie, and has a very good chance of having high blood pressure when she's older.
Nuit is Nuit. Or Rose, or Pandora, or Aria... whatever.
Just an ordinary girl, in an extremely boring world.
