As I look around the room,
My heart, it fills with gloom,
To see so many people so down,
So many people so dead inside.
And the virus of comdenation,
And misery is spreading fast.
But with God, the darkness melts away
With God, It's in the past.
The darkness calls our name,
We get trapped in our wall of pain.
We get lost in a wicked game,
But God puts it all away.
And he watches as we all fade,
To a darkend shade of gray.
He knows if our hearts go black,
They ain't ever coming back.
So while we're crying our tears of blood,
God sends someone to show us love.
And he shows us the way, the truth, and the light,
So we can survive the evil nights.
See the devil, he tells us lies,
To try and get us on his side.
He makes coldness, hate and pain,
Seem the like only way to gain.
We get lost in a wicked game,
But God puts it all to shame.
And he watches as we all fade,
To a darkend shade of gray.
He knows if our hearts go black,
They ain't ever coming back.
So he shows us his amazing love,
And how he shed his blood,
Because he cares, he knows what's right.
He can get us through the night.
When everything is crashing down,
And pain and death is all around,
When the strom suddenly takes you by surprise,
And you begin to believe the Devil's lies,
God is there, still loving you,
And his love is always true.
Jesus can save us from the dark,
From the mess,
From the strom,
From the rest
Of the Harm,
From the pain,
From yourself.
And he won't let us fade,
To a darkend shade of gray.
He stops our hearts from going black,
Because our Lord, he wants us back.
So he'll show his amazing love,
And how his son shed the blood.
Because god cares, he knows what's right,
He will save your soul tonight.
