I have found out and tried to solve when they will evolve. Each has three stages.
The one they are in now (Beta) will be from 0-100 levels.
Second stage (Alpha) will evolve at level 101.
The last stage (Omega) I am guessing will evolve from level 501
From what I know, they do not die.

Click and wait for a screen to show up. If it is a light blue screen with a "General Error" on it just keep on refreshing the page until you see the site itself. It is brown/tan. If you refresh 5 times and still don't see the site itself, then stop trying to feed that one. O.o;
