The sound of footsteps going up the stairs echoed throughout the quiet household. With one last stomp on the top step, I turned right. I held my breath and opened the blue door. I stepped in, observing the work done.
I didn't get the chance to hold my breath that long so I exhaled and the smell of paint filled my lungs. I coughed and brought up my hand to pinch my nose.
They should've bought the type of paint that didn't have an awful smell... I thought to myself.
I brought a hand up to the dry blue walls of my room. I narrowed my eyes as I analyzed the paint job.
He painted in a lot of layers...NOW my room looks small...I knew it I should've been the one to paint the room I thought to myself, again
But then, I thanked the Lord for there would be no more pink walls and ceiling for me.
